February 2011
More wrestling....Clayton has had a couple of really good tournaments. He took first at the Sugar J.V. tournament and 5th at the Challis tournament. We also went to North Fremont where Clayton had an official wrestle off for Districts. We have three Seniors in his weight and each school is allowed 2. Coach had an official wrestle off and Clayton pinned so he is headed for Districts. As districts approached I think I was way more nervous than Clayton. He had to get third to qualify for State. Because of his knee injury last year this would hopefully be his first trip to State. Clayton lost his first match which meant that he had to win all of his others to qualify. His second match was a win by pin. His next match was also a pin. Even though he had pinned both of these guys I was a nervous wreck. His last match came up and I am pretty sure there were way more nerves on my end than his. But he was successful so we are headed to Boise for State Wrestling. Way to go Clayton.

Daren's Birthday

I got Daren a plane ticket to Michigan to see Justin. Yes I know Brent and Ranell live there also but Grandpa T. only wants to see Justin. He was really suprised but he had a very good time reading books, and playing cars with Justin.

Uncle Garth
Daren's uncle passed away on January 16, 2011. He was the youngest of the Rose boys. We all gathered together with him on Christmas Eve for a family picture not knowing just how short our time was with him.

January 2011

January at our house is all about wrestling. We do a lot of traveling to watch Clayton wrestle. We go from Bear Lake to Wendell and tons of places in between. Because of a family funeral we did not make the trip to Wendell with Clayton. This was really difficult for me because there are not very many matches I have not attended. I gave the boys strict instructions to use their phone to video and then to send them to me. Clayton decided that he wanted to play a joke on me. He called and told me that he had lost his temper with Coach Sawicki and that he had yelled at a ref. He told me he had been kicked out of the tournament and that Coach would not let him ride home on the bus. I was upset and then furious and then sad and then angry and any other emotion that I could think of all at the same time. I called a couple of moms and they confirmed that there had been a problem with Clayton. I was literally getting in my car and headed to Wendell when Clayton came clean that he was only joking with me. Needless to say I did not think it was very funny.
